@Karlipbaum I didn’t think the anology would go down well…I guess what I’m saying is, “if we firmly believe a fetus is a living person (and I do) then killing it is essentially criminal, worse than robbing a bank. Consistent with that, yes, I believe all abortion is wrong and s/b illegal, including cases of rape/incest. As absolute and heartless as it sounds, I hope that doesn’t end the discussion.

I probably devoted too much time on this thread (though I felt I was having a decent dialogue with Karlipbaum), having to weed through your and MsGerrytodd’s senseless chatter.

@ttttnumu For starters, I do appreciate your honesty. I’m not going to end the discussion because we disagree- there’s too much of that in the world, and we’re suffering because of it. But I do think there are a myriad of questions that arise from your perspective. I think our opinions differ in their essence because yours is definitive while mine allows circumstance to dictate, therefore I feel you need to answer some, if not all of those questions. Are you open to them?

@ttttnumu Here are just a few questions that spring to mind…
How should we treat pregnant women?
Should they be subject to constant vigilance?
Should drinking while pregnant be criminalized, or any other activities that may(big question again in legal terms) harm the fetus?
Should a pregnant woman who engages in ‘dangerous’ activity be punished by law if she miscarries?
It’s a long list of possibilities that open up after concluding that a fertilized egg should be treated as a full person.

Excellent. I am a big fan of Andrea, and a devout Catholic. It makes me happy to see celebrities who come out with stories about how their life almost ended before it really even began. Its sad to think of how many great people this world has lost due to abortion…
