ERano anni che avevo in testa questo ritmo; lo avevo registrato su una cassetto ormai tutta sgarruppata; ho ritrovato, casualmente il video: la serata non é certo sprecata!!!!

Fantastic drum solo by Shrieve, he was 20, and Carlos was 22.. Shrieve was the youngest on stage performer at Woodstock.

Watch the PBS Woodstock special. Carlos Santana said he was high on LSD, that’s why the funny faces he made. His guitar felt like a snake trying to slither away from him. Still, they were simply great. What a show! Like Bob Hope always sang, “Thanks for the memories!”

@sp600jx21: Well not to belittle you in any way, but actually the youngest band member to play Woodstock was Jocko, the drummer for Sha Na Na who actually WAS only 19 (and he tore it UP when they played “Wipeout,” it’d be cool to see actual film footage of it, if it was filmed that morning). But hey 20 and 22 is just as young. This drum solo was one of the very first drum solos to inspire me to start drumming!

And furthermore, could you imagine seeing this in the theater?! How could you stop from jumping out of your seat and start dancing in the aisle? How could you stop the entire THEATER from jumping out of their seats?!
